Fred on Beacon Hill

I ran into Fred today while I was working in Beacon Hill. He has an older Border that has seen a few repairs and rewaxes in it's day. Thanks for being a good sport!

Fishing at the quarry

We broke out the rod today while waiting for our truck to arrive. Not a bad day even if we didn't catch any fish.

Barbour International Belt

The patch on my Barbour International was removed from the right breast pocket and put on the back of the belt. The best part is that I still gave the matching pants.

Shelburne Falls

It's been a wet week in Western Massachusetts- good Barbour weather. I brought my old, two crest Bedale, my newer 90's Bedale and my Westmorland. I probably should have left a Bedale at home and brought the Nethercott or the Longshoreman. This place sure gets a lot of rain! It will be in the 80s and sunny next week, so the thornproofs won't get so much use.

Rewaxing some Barbour jackets.

I usually warm the jacket on a radiator or throw it in the car with the windows closed on a warm summer day. The jacket needs to be very warm or even hot to let the dressing soak in properly. Don't let your wax cool off either. That's nothing but trouble. Use a small sponge to put it on and a clean cloth to wipe it down and distribute the dressing evenly.
It's a bit like juggling- once you get the hang of it, it's fun. Cheers!

Barbour 1964 Catalogue and Price Guide

Unfortunately, these scans are out of order, but you get the idea.  I'm more of a Tumblr guy and still learning my way around blogger.   I hope that you enjoy this old catalogue!

The Moorland Jacket looks a little different than the one we know now.

Barbour for kids is no new development.

The International was "famous" even back in '64.

I'm OK with Barbour not selling these undergarments anymore.

 Love the Ladies' Scooter Suit!

The Solway Zipper came back briefly a few years ago, but has since disappeared.  I found one that fit at the outlet in Milford about two years ago, but didn't get it.  Of course, I have many regrets now.  Cheers!
