Not really doing much here these days.  I'm feeling more feedback from Tumblr and I'm starting a little twitter feed.  Check it out:

Barbour by David Wood

Portland, ME knows how to rock.  Barbour by David Wood and Portland Drygoods are two outstanding stores.  Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.  While I was trying on a 75th Anniversary Barbour International, a customer came in wearing a 1953(?) Belstaff Trailmaster, which is always a good sign that you're in the right place.  Props to Dustin and Kazeem, I spent so long talking to them, I got a parking ticket and didn't even care.  Word.

Also on Tumblr

I've been experimenting with Tumblr and have found it pretty cool.  I'm going to post on both blogs for a while and see how it goes.  There's more stuff here, but there's other stuff there.  Hmm...  Check it out:

Working Clothes

A nice article from The Field, December 1994.  I can't recall where I picked this up.  Read and enjoy!

Barbour Boys

Our Culture is a very cool blog written by a group of Scandinavian friends.  You need to look at it now.

They asked to use a couple of my scans and I, of course, was happy to oblige.  Cheers!

Ton Up Classics

I found a very cool blog- Ton Up Classics.  They have a bit of everything I like:  old pictures, old advertising and Triumph restorations.  Here's a link to the blog:

Barbour Pamphlet from a Repair Kit

The Man Who Knows 0

The Man Who Knows 1

The Man Who Knows 2

The Man Who Knows 3

The Man Who Knows 4

The Man Who Knows 5

The Man Who Knows 6

This pamphlet came out of an old repair kit. It's quite long and the pictures overlapped the folds, so I scanned part of the pamphlet and then slid it over a little to get the rest of the picture.

Cheers!

Barbourmen

I posted an iPhone picture of this full page ad last month. Here's a higher quality scan for ya. Suitable for framing. Yes, I have it framed in my house. Big shout out to my fellow Barbourman, Gordon, for this picture. No date on the page, but it's from Bike magazine some time in the late 70's to the early 80's. Enjoy!

This is a great little booklet that came with a catalogue from the early 1990s. Please see the higher resolution scans on my Flickr page, since the type on the originals was difficult to read without a magnifying glass. Seriously. I like the side by side comparisons of the various styles of jacket. It gives you a good idea of the differences between the jackets.

Cheers!
